The first Sunday of every month is a special day for MCC Rainbow Promise... every First Sunday is "Celebration Sunday." On that day there is a covered-dish Lunch Buffet after the service...and the special fellowship that goes with it. BUT the Miracle Wave is a portion of the actual service on ever First Sunday. For the Miracle Wave, everyone is urged to put a dollar bill into a special collection that forms the basis of the Miracle Wave Fund. The MCC Rainbow Promise Deacons then distribute the Miracle Wave Fund as dictated by the needs of our congregation. The Celebration Sunday and the Miracle Wave together enable fellowship AND outreach. Our members can fellowship and dine with each other, and also reach out and support other members with special needs. |

The question has been asked: “Since we are not pursuing
the church building what happens to the building fund donations?”
Just because we will not purchase this particular building
does not mean that our search has ended. God will, in God’s
good time, show us the right place for us to call our new
home and we will need to be prepared. The “Essential
Piece” building fund program will continue and all
donations will be put into our building fund account. This
account is classified as a designated account and can only
be used toward the purchase or building of our new home.
There are enough funds in the account to take care of our
present building needs should they arise. This account is
designated and no fellowship tithes will be subtracted from
it nor can it be used for any other purpose without board
approval. This approval would only be given in case of emergency
such as if we stood to lose our present facility because
of lack of funds. This type of situation has never happened
in this church and because of your dedicated stewardship
we do not foresee it happening in the future. WE ARE STILL
BUILDING FOR OUR FUTURE AND INVITE ALL WHO CAN TO PARTICIPATE.
Our youth have the right idea in that they are doing what
ever they can do to contribute to our vision and by doing
so they are helping us to keep the faith.
